Led the design process for how student voice concerns in collaboration with the leadership team

I led the creation of a process for students to be able to formally make suggestions or voice concerns about their educational program, school policies or procedures.

Coordinated and led the restructuring of online subscription and application purchases with the technology integration specialists and technology support teams

  • This initiative allowed for purposeful auditing of each subscription for use and relevancy

  • All subscriptions and relevant apps were reconfigured into a management updating, payment and maintenance schedule.


Researched and led a library database consortium initiative

  • Worked with 4 heads of schools in the AKD international schools to audit and revise procedure for the purchase and maintenance of appropriate library databases.

  • The consortium initiative involved researchers price packages and coordinating purchasing efforts.

  • This initiative allowed for the considerable financial savings in each school.

Implementing and Maintaining our School-Wide Curriculum and Data Management System:

ManageBac is the leading planning, assessment and reporting platform for the IB continuum. I decided to spearhead full implementation and maintenance of this system because our IT department needed support due to language issues and general understanding of the needs of the school. In doing so, I've learned a tremendous amount of valuable information that assisted our school in moving forward with making protocols and overall decisions about how to use this program effectively and efficiently school-wide. This program can be used to house the full school curriculum, to store resources, to report progress and transcripts, parent communication and track behavior. Since 2014, I've overseen implementation of all of these features in collaboration with key staff members.

Motivating Students to Speak English in the Classroom

Designed a comprehensive quick resource for teachers to encourage the acquisition, promotion and use of language in the classroom. This poster is displayed around the school and was given to visiting schools during the ACAMIS EAL conference

ISNS Bands: RISE FROM THE ASHES, TRIBE PHONIX, and SayYes

This is my 4th year being involved with the stage band and we have gotten bigger and better. We've invited more performers and created a very strong collaborative group. The students are learning to take responsibility for their instruments, their sound and their performances overall. They performed in front of large for school events  and at local city arts celebrations.The image is from their performance at the HARD ROCK CAFE! 

The Ease of Digital Scheduling:

After years of ineffective and messy scheduling, the power to schedule with ease has finally been unleashed. I began this project in August 2016. First in researching various platforms and then settling on PRIMETIMETABLE.COM. In order to get the most out of this platform, the back-end must be programmed correctly and cohesively across all the programs that you plan to use it for.  There are really no limitations to this program and it is very easy to use. In recognizing the need for a more effective scheduling platform due to the exponential growth our our school, I took it upon myself to research and program a draft version of our school entire schedule.  We have been using the program with success and have stepped further into using its functions for managing our facility, teaching loads and meetings. Our sister schools have also began using this program and I am occasionally providing support. 


 

ISNS Admissions Flow Chart

I led our counselors, admission staff, Principals and the Head of School through  the creation of the initial draft flow process for improving our admissions communication and procedures. This has impacted many areas to include: communication between admissions and academic staff, created better procedures for data collection and reporting to key staff in order to prepare for new students and help them settle in, and highlighted the pastoral importance of this process overall. 


Steps for Requesting Academic Records

I led the creation of a formalized process for requesting and expediting academic records to ensure validity. We now have this on the website and it has been shared with the parent community.
